Neville’s Wild, Wild Out Vacation Out West, Part I: The Neville Express!

If you were wondering why there have been no new posts on Musings From Neville’s Navel, it’s because Neville was recently on a wild, wild vacation and hasn’t had time to post!

From May 12 to 1:30 AM on May 15, we were on a train to Sacramento, California. A very slow train. A train that would suddenly stop in places like Omaha, Nebraska, or Someplace in the Middle of Nowhere, Nevada. And stay there for a very long time.

However, this gave Neville many opportunities to go WILD on the train!

Yes, I like your definition of the train as “very sloooooooow.” Very fitting.

  2. Mz Maralyn says:

I always feel that trains force us to ‘slow down’! The pace seems incredibly slow in this new millenium. Just imagine that 100 years ago, or thereabouts, this was considered amazingly fast travel!

    It’s all relative.

How was the view and the scenery. I have always wanted to see the west from a train.

The scenery? Hmmmm…. It was very…flat. We seemed to cross all the cool mountain-y parts at night, when it was too dark to see anything. Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada all looked about the same, which is to say there weren’t very many towns but there was a lot of sagebrush! 😉
