- Day 22: A website.
There many websites that I love and occasionally waste too much time looking at, but in the end, I picked MuggleNet as the subject of this post.
MuggleNet is a Harry Potter fansite. Apparently it was created by a guy in LaPorte, Indiana, not too far away from where I live! MuggleNet has Harry Potter news, editorials, an encyclopedia of the books, games, fanfics, lists of great quotes from the characters, and much more. It is really cool and very nerdy. And it is totally possible to waste lots of time on this site as well. I should know; I just spent the last 10 minutes reading an article about the mistakes the Harry Potter movies made but The Hunger Games movie didn’t. It was excellent, because they were right. The things that bothered me about the former movies weren’t in the latter.
If you’re a Harry Potter nerd, I recommend that you check out MuggleNet right away! I was going to write about Pottermore for this post, but since it isn’t open to the public yet (They say it will be open by sometime in early April – hello, wouldn’t that be now?!), I couldn’t. So while you wait for Pottermore to open, take a look at MuggleNet!
Um…I saw this and just wanted to warn you: I got a computer virus from Mugglenet a few days ago, and I had to re-install windows on my laptop to get rid of it…which deleted everything…so you might want to be careful about Mugglenet, they’ve been getting hacked a lot lately causing people to get viruses.
Yeah, I know. Which is why I haven’t gone on MuggleNet in a while, except I really wanted to write about it for this post.
