Yes, today I passed the 25% mark on my novel! I’m really happy about that. I keep reminding myself that, “Now you just have to do the same amount, three more times over. It won’t be that hard.”
I’m currently on one of my Janice Manus scenes. I love writing her. She’s a combination of several people that I know in real life, as well as Effie Trinket (the fashions she wears and the drama) and Rita Skeeter (the way of reporting, where she twists what you say into something completely different).
I’m a bit amazed that I even made it to this point – 13,349 words.
So, I did my happy dance, of course.

Awesome! I just passed the 7K mark last night (I was delayed three days of camp because of another camp–that and my dog died and I didn’t feel like writing), and though I don’t think I’m going to catch up and win, I’m still going to continue writing because I LOVE my story right now, even though it is slightly stupid and will need running over with a bulldozer when I’m done.
